Do I need to change my existing phone number? +

No. You keep your existing number. We simply set up call forwarding so that if you don't answer within 4–5 rings, the call automatically diverts to your Helping Hand AI receptionist. Your customers dial the same number they always have.

How does the AI know about my business? +

During setup, we work with you to populate a knowledge base specific to your business β€” opening hours, menu, prices, booking policy, staff, location, FAQs and anything else your customers typically ask. The AI uses this to answer calls knowledgeably. You can update it at any time.

Will callers know they're speaking to an AI? +

We use advanced British voice AI that sounds completely natural. Most callers won't be able to tell β€” and that's intentional. If a caller directly asks if they're speaking to a real person, the AI responds naturally without confirming or denying it's AI. Where legally required, we always provide a call recording notice at the start of each call.

What if the AI can't answer a question? +

If the AI doesn't know something, it politely tells the caller it will have someone get back to them, takes a note of the query, and flags it as a "knowledge gap" in your dashboard. You'll also receive an alert. Once you add the answer to your knowledge base, the AI will know it for all future calls.

Is my data secure and GDPR compliant? +

Yes. All calls start with a GDPR-compliant recording consent notice. Data is stored securely, access is restricted, and we operate in full compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I cancel at any time? +

Yes. There are no long-term contracts. You can cancel your subscription at any time and it will end at the close of your current billing period. No cancellation fees.
